BSV Layered Multicast Network

The transport layer for Bitcoin at planetary scale

Cash moves fast.   Users always free.  · on 1BSV

1BSV moves transactions and blocks to every participant the instant they happen: one signal, heard everywhere, without the waste of flooding the network node by node.

One signal, heard everywhere

Bitcoin still spreads data by gossip: every node re-whispering every message to every other node, with no record of who heard what and no alarm when something is missed. 1BSV replaces that with structured multicast: every transaction and block is sorted into a numbered lane by a rule anyone can verify, sent once, and carried to everyone subscribed.

Tangled gossip mesh on the left versus one source fanning into clean numbered lanes on the right
Gossip re-copies to everyone · structured multicast sends once into numbered lanes
Efficiency & Reach

One send, everyone hears

Enter at the nearest door and a message is emitted a single time, fanning out across the fabric to every interested party. No duplicated floods, no wasted bandwidth.

Reliability

Nothing slips through

Every stream is numbered and accountable. The moment anything is missing it is detected and repaired; silent loss is impossible.

Scale

Engineered for 1B+ tx/s

Capacity grows by spreading load across independent lanes and adding ingress points everywhere. No central bottleneck, no ceiling; the design scales horizontally.

Users always free. Receivers pay for certainty.

Sending costs nothing, ever: no account, no configuration, only the miner's fee. Receiving is the paid service, and it comes in three shapes. Pick the one that fits you.

Miners

Run the chain

The settlement side: the full transaction stream, subtree and block data, the earliest possible view of the network, and the right to publish blocks into it. Built for block production at speed, by miners and the processors that assemble blocks.

Service providers

Build on settlement

The transaction stream and subtree data plus a live header feed, without mining and without the right to publish settlement. The inputs a broadcaster, proof service, wallet backend or explorer builds from, complete and self-repairing.

Apps

Serve your users

The overlay side: objects delivered with proofs attached and a live header feed, filtered to the topics your users care about. SPV certainty for everyone you serve, without running mining infrastructure. Built for wallets, exchanges, and services.

Just sending? There is nothing to choose and nothing to pay: hand your transaction to the network and it is carried to everyone. The User Guide covers it in one section.

Open at the core

The deployed network. The open componentry. Built by Lightweb Inc.

1BSV is the production deployment of a layered multicast distribution system engineered and open-sourced by Lightweb Inc. The full protocol is published as open standards anyone can implement and verify: no black box, no vendor lock-in.
